Pleased to meet you ...

My name is Cara Sefuiva and I'm the Regional Coordinator for the Computers In Homes project in Auckland.

I am made and raised in Tokoroa - heart of the South Waikato, home to many sporting and academic heroes.  It's also home to the eternally famous Pie Cart and the globally known Talking Poles.  The funny thing is when I meet all the wonderful families that come through our project - guaranteed someone knows someone in Tokoroa!  There is always that connection and I love hearing the exclamations!

I have three awesome children, a daughter-in-law, my darling grandson and an extraordinary cat named Moshe.   My passions are immersed in community education, computers, internet, all the books I can get my hands on, movies, music, travel, friends, laughing, fellowship (of people not the Ring) and writing. I love learning new things and that's not about to end yet!  Bring on the tertiary courses and papers, even MORE travel and throw in a Wonder of the World to explore.

I have lived in three nations - United States, Australia and China.  It will always be good to come home New Zealand - no matter how long I travel off into the sunset for - I am immensely proud of Aotearoa.

This new role allows me to meet so many families that face so many challenges besides working hard with trainers for their computers.  It isn't the easiest task for so many students but it is well worth it to watch their successes and to do everything I can to support families becoming digitally connected.
